Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

'The engine is fine, it pulls well'

Stephen Reilly works for Allied Mills of Manchester and has been driving his 2546 for eight weeks. Prior to this he used a manual-shift version of the Mk2 Actros.

"There's plenty of room for nights out," he said approvingly. "The passenger seat folds up and there's a lot of space to get dressed in. I'm 6ft 2in and I can stand upright. This is a twin-bunk high roof so there's loads of storage 10 lockers and two drawers.

"The engine is fine; it pulls well. It usually only drops 5mph on hills, and I'm usually fully loaded with 26 one-tonne pallets. The Telligent shift [mounted on the armrest] is too slow to respond; it always takes one or two seconds to make up its mind.

"I preferred the manual shift-you had more control and it was easier to block change. With this you have to go click. click, click, and wait... the gearshift is the weakest point.

"The steering is a bit light on bends and lacks feel but otherwise I like the lorry. I wish they'd put a washer on the nearside mirror though; after all, they can do it on the headlights."
