• The Convention of Royal Burghs. meeting in Edinburgh on April 2. decided by a largt majority that four motions which strongh criticized the proposed Transport Bill shoulc receive further investigation.
One motion—from Wick—claimed that th( Bill would inflict "grievous harm" to Scot land's economy.
