o Truck drivers are being warned by Walsall police to beware of vehicle thieves if they stop for fish and chips outside "The Chippy'' in the West Midlands town.
The warning comes after the second heavy goods lorry was stolen outside the premises in Raleigh Street, Birchills, in a matter of weeks.
The latest incident happened last Wednesday night (3 Oct). The driver of a red and white
51-tonne Scania, liveried i name G. Platt at Lancaste his cab to buy some fist chips. Meanwhile, the th swooped and hotwired the cle before making off with sands of pounds' worth of dening grow bags.
sgt Neil Evans of W police says: "This is the si time a lorry has been 1 from outside the same fist chip shop and we are wa drivers to bean the alert."
