J. and E. Hall, Ltd., 10, St. Swiftin's Lane, London, E.C.

Stand No, 57.

FIVE vehicles in all will be exhibited by J. and E. Hall, Ltd., all being chain driven. As exemplified in the Hanford, chain drive is certainly eminently satisfactory. The chains are thoroughly well protected by cast-aluminium -cases divided longitudinally, and these CitSes are not relied upon to take the driving stress or to act as chain adjusters, stout radius rods, provided with eccentric adjusters, being fitted. The exhibits will be:—.

(1) A four ton chassis of standard type, fitted with a 32 h.p. engine of 110 mm. bare and 140 mm. stroke, carrying a brewer's type body. (2) A five ton chassis with a.40 h.p. engine of 120 mm. bore and .140mm. stroke, carrying an end-tipping body operated by an hydraulic hoist.

k3) A three ton chassis with an engine of the same dimensions as that on the first exhibit. This machine has a specially long wheelbase of 15 ft., in order to enable the fitting of a platform body, approximately 14 ft. long. (4) A 32 h.p. 4 ton chassis only (5) A large capacity van on a 4 ton chassis, with a 25 h.p. engine of 100 mm. bore and 140 Mm. stroke.
