Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN INCREASE in gross vehicle weight and a change in engine specification have been announced for the Scammell LD55 heavy-duty dumper.

It is now plated at 24.4 tonnes (24 tons) gvw for normal road running with Construction and Use Regulations. The design gross weight remains at 25.6 tonnes (25.25 tons) gvw.

The increase has been achieved by extending the wheelbase from 3.86 to 4.22m (12ft 8in to 13ft 10in).

On the engine front the current AEC AV760 engine is replaced by the naturally aspirated L12 unit already available as an option on Leyland Buffalo and Octopus models.

The L12 is rated at 151kW (203bhp) at 2,200rpm and 771Nm (570 lbft) torque at 1,40Orpm.
