Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

countries enjoy better holiday benefits than their British counterparts? Could you give an example?

A Yes, it is correct that paid holiday periods

in Europe are generally superior to those obtaining in the UK. In Belgium, for example, an agreement was signed on July 17 between representatives of the Belgian employers' federation and the major trade unions, including the Belgian General Federation of Labour, which provided for an increase from the present double holiday rates for two weeks to three weeks from 1968. As an interim solution, the recommendations provide for payment for half the double holiday allowance for the third week in 1967. From 1968 Belgian workers will enjoy three weeks' annual holiday with six weeks' wages.
