Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TO establish the noise levels reached by commercial vehicles in service the Ministry of Transport is to conduct tests with noise meters.

RHA members who think they have noisy vehicles or loads have been invited to tell the secretary of the highways and vehicles committee, Mr. G. H. Mitchell, whether they are willing to provide these for a test in London at the invitation of the Ministry.

The first test is likely to be on November 23. The RHA is still unhappy about inclusion of load noises—and, for that matter, existing vehicles in the proposed regulations.
