THE GREATER LONDO Council is to spend Elm on major study of travel patterr In London, says GLC plannin chief Shelagh Roberts.
The survey will investigai the demands on public tran port likely to be made in ti future and Londoners' pri ferences for homes, jobs ar modes of transport.
It will be carried out in ti same year as the next majā census, which will allow ti Council to save money using census data.
The survey will cover cor mercial vehicle movemen and may be mounted by a joil company set up by the GL with outside consultants. TI GLC will do pilot survey to g an accurate estimate of cos and as a guide to the design the main survey.
