AWIDE variety of topics will be discussed at a number of short sessions to be held during the annual conference of the National Association of Furniture Warehousemen a n d Removers, at Cheltenham, from May 21-23.
After the annual general meeting, on the morning of May 22, Mr. W. Isard, chairman of the costings and information committee, will-report on a recommended scale of fair charges for removals.
In the afternoon, there will be the annual general meeting of the Furniture Warehousemen's and Removers' Benevolent Association, followed by two 2-hour sessions, during which Mr. .A. R. M. Walker will speak on the question, "Arc our Association by-laws too restrictive, particularly in regard to advertising?" and Mr. Paul Winwood will deal with the subject, " Is there a
future for the small removal business?" The annual dinner will be held that evening.
On Wednesday morning. "Londoner " will speak on "Competition with the State—suggested means of improving interworking arrangements between members." after which Mr. F. W. EL .Winwood will explain the Association's recommended scheme for standardized insurance.
Businesa win conclude with a half hour open forum. .
