APROPOSAL to give the Manx Highway and Transport Board power to authorize Douglas Corporation to run buses outside the town to take spectators to a Festival pageant at Braddan has been rejected by the House of Keys. The clause in a Bill
dealing with the subject was vigoroasly opposed by counsel for the Isle of Man Railway, Isle of Man Road Services, Ltd., and the Hackney Car Owners' Association.
