A BILL to allow private bus companies to grant
travel concessions to , the aged, blind and disabled—and to permit local councils to pay towards the cost—has been presented to Parliament by Sir Malcolm Stodilart-Scott, Tory MP for Ripon.
Supported by eleven other MPs, five of them also from Yorkshire, the Bill seeks to extend to private bus firms the concessions granted to local authority undertakings soon after Labour came to power.
