• Excluding wages, costs affecting road haulage are estimated to have risen at a rate of 2.5 per cent over the three months ending on April 30. This conclusion by the RHA's commercial committee is published in the June issue of Road Way.
In general, it is reckoned that the February fuel increase has put 0.3 per cent on costs, the insurance rise from March a further 0.78 per cent, vehicle depreciation 0.72 per cent, overheads 0.1 per cent and repairs and maintenance 0.6 per cent.
