The core has bonded to it inner and outer skins of glass-reinforced plastics and the containers measure 8 ft. by 8 ft. by 10 ft. The floor is designed for use with powered pallet trucks carrying loads of up to 1.600 lb. and as well as general cargo the containers can be used, with refrigeration equipment, to transport perishable commodities.
