MR. V. HELD has been appointed manager of the Southall spare parts department of A.C.V. Sales,Ltd. He replaces MR. T. H. W. Fliarlarms, who died. early this year. MR. J. H. WA1KINSON will be his deputy.

MR. I.. R. MUNRO, director of manufacturing and acting manager of the Glasgow plant operated by the Caterpillar Tractor Co., Ltd., has been elected a vice-president of the parent company in Peoria, Illinois. He will assume administrative responsibility for its manufacturing division. MR. WILLIAM Buscxte has relinquished the presidency of Caterpillar's foreign trade group, which includes the British organization, and has been succeeded by MR. CECIL E. SPAIN, a vice-president. Mr. Spain's successor for the administration of domestic sales and sales promotion is MR. W. K. 'Cox, sales promotion .manager, who has been elected a vicepresident.

MR. MAURICE MOSS has been appointed managing director of the Elswick-Hopper Cycle and Motor Co., Ltd., Barton-onHumber (Lincs). He will operate from London MR. JACK MILNER, an area representative of Romac, Ltd,, is in hospital following a road accident in which he sustained multiple injuries. His/condition is " satisfactory."

Ma. F, YEOMANS has been appointed industrial relations officer of Shell-Mex and B.P., Ltd. For the past three years he has been assistant manager of the company's Jarrow-on-Tyne installation.

MR. EDWARD TOOMER, Nottingham garage superintendent for the Trent Motor Traction Co., Ltd., for the past 21 years, has retired. He had been with the company for more than 47 years.

ARTHUR R. YOUNG, of Nightingale Engineering, has been appointed sales liaison officer for Atkinson Vehicles at Walton-le-Dale.
