• Scania will launch its 4Series construction models at the Geneva Show this week. The chassis will feature the first 4-Series day cabs. The low-height Pseries and shorter variant of the high R-cab will also make their debut at the Swiss show. Power will come from the 12litre six-cylinder and 14-litre vee eight engines unveiled at the 4Series launch last October (CM 26 Oct-1 Nov), Construction vehicles will be tagged C-Class. These will include P124C and R124C 12-litre models: 14-litre models will he offered with the high R cab only. The range will include four, six and eightwheeled chassis and some all-wheel-drive models.
Production will start gradually during the course of the year, but UK buyers are unlikely to see the 4Series multi-wheelers before the end of 1996.
