INTER-URBAN coach network operator National Express has promoted Clive Myers from general manager to the new post of managing director.
Myers began his bus and coach industry career with National Bus Company subsidiary Crosville in 1966. In 1974 he joined National Travel (North West) as opera
lions nranager (commercial) of the National Express Divisi on of NBC and was promoted three years later to general manager when National Express became a company in its own right.
The creation of Myers's new job coincides with the expansion of National Express to include a new operation called National Crusader. This combines the London Crusader and Birmingham Crusader group coach booking organisations formerly under NBC.
Bernard Davis, manager of London Crusader, becomes business development manager of National Express, responsible for the National Crusader project and based in Birmingham.
