• Glasgow transport committee has considered the proposals For a Passenger Transport Authority for the Greater Glasgow area as presented by the Secretary of State for Scotland and has agreed that his proposed area be accepted.
The committee has also accepted the distribution of appointments. Glasgow Corporation will have 13 out of the 26 local authority appointments, and the Secretary of State will make four appointments, bringing the total to 30.
