• Hammersmith flyover will be closed at nights and all day Sundays from Monday next (February 14), until the end of May, for strengthening works to the parapets. The closure will operate at the following times: Mondays to Thursdays (8 pm to 6 am), Fridays (11 pm to 6 am) and from 11 pin on Saturdays to 6 am Mondays.

• Weighbridges are adequate at 12 out of the 15 roll-on /off ports which handle Continental vehicles, said Mr John Peyton, the Minister for Transport Industries, in the Commons. They would, he added, be supplemented where necessary.
