THE SALE of surplus buses and coaches at Reading last month was another success for British Car Auctions, and the company is keen to extend the system nationally.
Twelve 16-20 year old AEC Reliance single-deckers offered for sale by Reading Transport went for around £300, while coaches from a dealer fetched prices ranging from £850 upwards. All of the operators invob were satisfied by the aucti and BCA's Clive Platfoot t CM that the company is p1. ning to hold auctions at rel Jar intervals nationally.
It has centres for disposal heavy commercial vehicles Yorkshire, Hampshire, and 1 Midlands, but has also u5. such operators' premises the Reading depot at Benn Road.
