• Liverpool Corporation has earmarked three sites, at Knowsley Industrial Estate, Liverpool Airport or the nearby stacking grounds, and Walton Triangle as lorry parks. They are to be the subject of discussions between Liverpool Corporation and the DoE before development is• finally approved.
It is estimated that about 1000 spaces will be needed on north Merseyside. Bootle Corporation is likely to develop a fourth lorry park at Langton Dock goods station, catering for docks traffic.
