WITH reference to the survey of the Forth Road Bridge, the Minister of Transport intimated that at the request of the local authorities concerned a grant was being made from the Road Fund towards the cost of a preliminary engineering investigation into the possibility of constructing a road bridge across the Forth at Rosyth.
No expense had yet been incurred, but the Minister hoped that the borings would shortly be begun.
