Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• One of 28 men accused of conspiring to break Road Traffic Act regulations was discharged from the case on Wednesday.

He is Alexander Edward Simpson, 38, lorry driver of Maryland Road, Stratford, London.

Mr. Bruce Weir, solicitor for the prosecution told Wells St. magistrate, Mr. E. J. C. Crowther, that no evidence was being offered against Simpson.

Commital proceedings against the remaining 27 men are to begin next Monday at Victory House, Kingsway.

The accused are Solly Davis, 56, his son Ronald Davis, 20, both of Amos Grove, Southgate, London who are directors of Charles Poulter Ltd., and 25 lorry drivers.

All the defendants were released on bail until next Monday. The magistrate was told the restrictions on reporting the commital proceedings would remain in force.

• A one-day symposium. "Education in materials handling", is to be held on Wednesday April 16 at the Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth, Warwickshire. It has been arranged by the Institute of Materials Handling.
