• Gerry Boyle has been named TNT Logistics Driver of the Year; he wins a new VW Golf, taxed and insured for a year. To
be eligible to enter, drivers had to be accident-free in the
past 12 months—while tacho and attendance records were also taken into account. The competition, which involved almost 50 of the company's drivers, involved a written exam and driving tests.
The valuable prize is part of Tlfrs efforts to promote safety.
• Exel Tradeteam's Lorry Driver of the Year is Stuart Northrop from its St Ives distribution centre. its competition is a mix of continual assessment and a track test day.
