SCOTTISH BUS GROUP operating subsidiaries have ordered 178 new buses for delivery in 1982. Of these, 91 will be double-deck.buses and there are no Leyland Nationals.
The double-deck orders consist of 41 ECW bodied Leyland Olympians, 30 Alexander-bodied MCW Metrobuses and 20 Alexander-bodied Dennis Dominators. Coaches ordered include eight Leyland Tigers and four Volvo B10Ms.
Alexander (Fife) is to get 20 Leyland Leopard Alexander Ytype buses, Alexander (Midland) will get four Leyland Leopard Alexander Y-type buses and four Leopard Duple Dominant II dual-purpose vehicles.
Alexander (Northern) has five Leyland Leopard Alexander Ytype buses and two Leyland Tigers with Duple Dominant Ill coach bodies ordered.
Central SMT has 10 Leyland Leopard Alexander Y-type buses and five Leyland Tiger Alexander T-type dual-purpose buses. Highland Omnibuses want 1C Leopard Alexander Y-type buses and seven Leopard Dominani dual-purpose buses.
Eastern Scottish has orderec six Leyland Tiger Duple Dorni. nant 3s and six Leyland Tigei Alexander Y-type 53-seat buses.
