Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Many hgv drivers have the habit of stopping their vehicles in the street and asking the way -by leaning out of their cab. They are on the left-hand side of the road and I am on the right, and they know full well vehicles are approaching on my side yet they expect me to walk in front of traffic to direct them to their destination. It is up to them to get out and walk over to me. These hgv drivers are supposed to be professionals. What does the Safety Council think of this? Drivers of all vehicles are pedestrians at some time, so why don't they remember this when they want to know the way?
