THE Government woulc have to have very definit, assurances about ttv practicalities of double bottom outfits before ther was any prospect of legis lation enabling their us being considered.
This was the view of M Tom Torney (Labour MI for Bradford South) after h had driven the Volvo/ Cran Fruehauf outfit in Norfoll He found the vehicle ver easy to drive but felt thE there would be considerabl difficulties about servic areas and any modificatior to these could not t financed by Government.
