Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Craven Tasker, the Sheffield trailer manufacturer, has been bought by Ballyvesey Holdings, a Northern Ireland group with several transport interests. This follows two months of secret talks with potential buyers, including an abortive management buy-out bid before Christmas.

Ballyvesey, which owns Montgomery Transport in Portadown, truck dealer J E Coulter and trailer-maker Montracon, says Craven Tasker will continue as a separate company with its own board.

Dennis Kenyon, former deputy managing director, takes over as md from Norman Melfors who retires this month. MeHors had been due to retire later this year, but brought the date forward to coincide with the takeover.

Kleinwort Benson, the financial experts handling the sale for Tasker's parent company Trafalgar House-owned John Brown, had predicted that the sale would go through by the end of January, but until now had not named any likely buyers.

Craven Tasker, which has a turnover of almost 223 million a year, has a strong order book and recently supplied 65 TaskVans to the Royal Mail.
