ppDl IL TRADETEAM has applied to transfer the site in Runcorn. Cheshire, which TDG has operated as part of its Guinness distribution contract, to its own licence. The site on the Whitehouse Industrial Estate is authorised for 30 vehicles and 120 trailers.
Last month CM reported that TDG had lost the contract to DHL with effect from 1 July "following a strategic review" by drinks giant Diageo owners of the Guinness brand, TDG will also end its Guinness transport and warehousing operations at sites in Avonmouth. Bristol and Mossend, North I.anarkshire.
Consultations with affected employees began at the end of March, over redeployment options at TDCi or whether to transfer to DHL under TUPE regulations. TDG had worked on the Guinness contract since 1991.
