Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CM exclusively joined an ANPR team for a day to see how the new technology works in practice.

Radio-controlled colour and infra-red video cameras in VOSA patrol vans constantly scan the roads. When a number plate comes into the camera's view, an image of it is immediately transmitted to a monitor in the vehicle for a VOSA officer's attention. Number plates for HGVs. buses and coaches are then checked against VOSA's own database to look for a match. If the vehicle is being operated Illegally a warning alarm is sounded and the details, including the time and where the vehicle was scanned, are recorded.

If the patrol van is stationary, the officer can either contact colleagues at a roadside checkpoint further down the road to pull over the 110, or else the information can be stored and acted on later.
