Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A new service for Scania customers — called Lifeline Lease — will be launched by the company next month.

Full details of the scheme have not yet been finalised but the idea is to bring together some existing Scania services and add new ones in a package deal for Scania customers using Scania products.

Lifeline Lease will offer the special finance facilities and comprehensive repair and maintenance contracts already available as part of the Lifeline operator benefits programme, plus acquisition and mainten ance options for operators wanting operating leases of one form or another.

Scania claims it has no intention of Lifeline Lease developing into the more complex contract services or distribution fields as they are already catered for by major distribution and rental companies.

The company intends the service to be complementary to the activities of existing contract hire and rental fleets to provide operators with alternative, competitive means of vehicle acquisition.
