The [tame Chapodo, compounded of Chapel and Ferodo, is the title of a Young Enterprise company formed as a part-time venture by these employees at the brake-lining plant; their ages range from 17 to 23 years. They overcame keen competition from other similar units to win the Young Enterprise North West Regional Shield which is to be presented to them by the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Aid. Harold Stockdale. Their success is the more interesting because, to the best of my knowledge, not many companies in the automotive and transport industries have participated in the scheme.
