Bus Service Ends: To cut operating costs, East Yorkshire Motor Services, Ltd., are to withdraw their express service between Hull and Hornsea. They are also revising timetables on a number of other routes.

Giant Trolleybus: Moscow Radio says an articulated trolleybus. capable of carrying 187 passengers, will he put into service in Moscow this year. There will he a communicating passage between the two sections.

Assets Annexed: Mercedes-Benz assets in Argentina have been annexed by the Government because the company are alleged to have exceeded by far the amount of imports originally agreed and to have made excessive profits.

Hinckley Bus Station: Hinckley Urban District Council have plans to build a £16,175 bus station in Lancaster Road.

B.R.S. Urged: Preston Town Council have urged British Road Services to expedite their plans to develop a site in Hartington Road, Preston.

New Haulage Premises: J. Williamson (Haulage Contractors), Ltd., are to build new office, stores and warehouse premises in Britannia Road, Stockton.

Bridgemaster Report: Rochdale Transport Department have been lent an A.C.V. Bridgemaster double-deck bus on which they are to report after a fortnight's use.

£113,290 Loan: Salford City Council are to receive a Government loan of £113,290, to be spread over three years, to modernize the transport depot in Frederick Road.

Refinery Man: The Minister for Welsh Affairs has approved detailed proposals submitted by the Esso Petroleum Co., Ltd., to build a £20m. oil refinery at Milford Haven.

R.H.A. Dinner: The Metropolitan and South Eastern Area of the Road Haulage Association will hold their annual dinner at Grosvenor House, Lois do n, W.1, on March 10.

10.8m. Goods Vehicles: There are now 10,875.000 goods vehicles and 255,000 buses in the United States, where the total number of vehicles has risen from 38m. to 67m. in 10 years.

Fewer Accidents: Only 59 accidents causing loss of working time were recorded by the Dunlop Rubber Co.. Ltd., at Fort Dunlop last year, which is a new low record. Ten years ago the figure was 275.

New Sirnms Company: A new company, Shams Motor Units, Ltd.. has been registered, with a nominal capital of L2rrrt., to take over from the former company of that name, the manufacture of fuel-injection, electrical and ignition equipment. As reported last week the old Simms company has changed its name to Simms Motor and Electronics Corporation,
