The Deparanent of the Environment. Transport and Regions (DETR) has begun a national speed review as part of its integrated transport strategy. The review will consist of three stages: • an examination of existing research on traffic speed and its effect; • a consultation by the DETR; and • the preparation of a report.
It is expected to take about a year to complete.
