'THE Minister of Transport had received
a number of representations from local authorities asking for legislation to allow them to make some financial contribution to other transport undertakings in consideration of travel concessions.
But, said Mr. Fraser,, when he reported this in the Commons last week, there was nothing new he could say about this particular matter.
As had 'been pointed out earlier, local authorities could arrange for concessions on their own transport undertakings and those of other local authorities, but their arrangements had not been extended to cover company undertakings.
