THE banning of battery-driven vehicles with a top speed of less than 40 miles an hour from motorways was still under consideration, along with other proposals for amending the class of vehicles permitted to use these roads.
Mr. Fraser said this in the Commons last week.
CURRENT LICENCES THE number of excise licences current for general goods vehicles of more than tons unladen weight at the end of 1950, 1960 and 1964 were 511,325; 585,431 and 640,500 respectively, said Mr. Fraser in the Commons this week.
