Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A NEW DESIGN of large diameter coil carrier has been introduced by Crane Fruehauf, following requests from the British Steel Corporation. The 12.2m (40(t) semitrailer has underslung steel leaf spring suspension which allows the main coil support frame to be lowered without increasing the deck height.

By using a step frame design which drops 150mm (5.9in) behind the trailer neck, Crane Fruehauf has achieved the deepest possible well within a standard I-beam main rail chassis.

British Steel has taken delivery of nine of the new coil carriers, which can be supplied in tandem or tri-axle configuration. It has 26 coil Carriers supplied by CF.

The new trailers will be used on 38-tonne operations and based at Shotton, Deeside and Clwyd works.
