Keith Sabey, 27, divisional manager for United Carriers at Caerphilly, has been appointed Winchester divisional manager and will be based at the company's new Alton depot, His position at Caerphilly has been filled by Raymond Saltiel, 33, who joins United Carriers from Carryfast. Mr Sabey has been in charge of the Caerphilly depot since it opened in 1971. Mr Saltiei moves to Caerphilly from Birmingham where he was depot manager for Dean Group Transport of Salford (Lancashire) part of Carryfast.

Mr Foulds, who joined United Transport Co Ltd from Pickfords in 1962, was until January 1 this year. managing director of Bulwark United Transport, a subsidiary of United Transport and parent of seven subsidiary transport companies in the tanker, heavy haulage and contract fields.

OBITUARY

We record with regret the death of Geoffrey Russell Guest.

Mr Guest, 64, was sales aids development manager of Perkins Engines Ltd. He had been with the company since 1937.
