THE FREIGHT Transport Association earned a profit of £215,619 last year, compared with £139,041 in 1980. It ended the year with 15,038 members. During the year, the FTA spent 1 £66,000 to buy new offices in Dudley for its Midlands region, and spent around £60,000 on capital works there and at its new Scottish regional offices in Stirling.
