Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

In April 2009, Paula Jefford bought half the business from Chris Hart's former business partner Phil Martindale. She arrived from Enza Truckworld where she had spent eight years working on a contract converting and exporting Mercedes-Benz SK trucks to Nigeria.

Her father, Dave Roberts, was the MD at the business and when the company switched from Whitley to Warrington she became more involved with sales using her accountancy background.

"Chris had approached me he knew my background in the used department and my export experience. We had a couple of meetings, got on alright, and we were both after the same thingscontract hire, rental, promote the export, get the retail going so we decided to form a partnership," she says.

Export sales and sorting out the building side of the move to Warrington have been her priorities. but with any small business, both partners find themselves doing bits of everything to keep the business viable, she says.

As a parent of three children, she leads a busy life, and the biggest learning curve in the past 12 months has been the ability to manage money as the business undergoes significant change.
