A s readers will know, the Hawk's favoured A s readers will know, the Hawk's favoured mode of transportation is his trusty Reliant Robin. It's pretty thrifty, but allow me to introduce the "Mouse", which will will get you from A to B at 568mpg. It belongs to Combidrive, which supplies centrifugal clutches. Director Edwin Jones (pictured next to the Mouse) tells the Hawk that the Mouse, developed by Combidrive and equipped with one of its clutches and automatic transmissions, currently holds the Shell Mileage Marathon world record of 568mpg for a diesel powered road-legal car. Not only is small beautiful; it is also incredibly economic.
