Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Jacobs has expanded its interests in the car transport and vehicle recovery markets with two company purchases.

The £3.1m acquisition of Tiptoe and its subsidiary, Abbeydale Storage, was made to complement Jacobs' Sheertruck car transport business. It has also spent £350,000 on B&C Breakdown Services to fit in with its Arcade Traffic Management subsidiary.

Arcade's managing director, David Brinklow, says the businesses are ideal bolt-on acquisitions: "Both companies will retain their names, liveries, management and drivers," he says. "And we're advertising for seven more drivers for B&C."

Danish group DSV is finalising the acquisition of Samson Transport from Geodis of France; it expects to complete the deal before the end of the month.
