and specialist lighting equipment is announced by J. M. largreave (Products) Ltd. This is the " P type, which is an icandescent flameproof handlamp.

This lamp is designed to conform with B.S.S. 229 1957 and .S.S. 889 : 1947: the fitting is Buxton Certificated No. 5215, in zeordance with the terms laid out in the Ministry of Power esting Memorandum No. 4, where flammable gases in Groups and 3A constitute the hazard. It is claimed that the designers ave achieved relatively high lamp output with minimum weight iid physical dimensions.

Overall length of the lamp is 121 in., maximum diameter is 7 in:, and it weighs 1.75 lb. The 20w. lamp, designed for long fe, is available in 250 V., 110 V. and 24 V.

The cable is 3-core circular. in p.v.c.-covered 250 V. grade. is braided and sheathed overall with p,v.e, containing line )rd with 70 lb. breaking strain. It is highly resistant to the Avent effect of fuel oils and hydraulic mechanism fluids and unaffected by mould growth throughout a wide ranee of :mperatures and humidities, still remaining flexible.

Improved Hydro-Tug NOW in full production by Reddey Hydrostatic Sales Ltd. is the Reddey-L.G.E. Hydro-Tug, which is fuelled by liquid -petroleum gas. Many advantages are claimed for the type of hydrostatic transmission (giving one-pedal control) fitted to the Hydro-Tug. These are simple control (for driving and handling), no possibility of engine overload, a turning circle of less than 5 ft., and less maintenance than any other type of transmission when Calor gas bottles are used.

The tractor has been designed to work both indoors and out. First models being produced are the H4, with a drawbar pull of 450 lb., and the H7, which exerts 700 lb. These models can also be converted to other capacities — or other fuels—within the same chassis and body, by fitting a factory-produced conversion unit.

Thread Restorer ASPECIAL toot for cleaning the threads of sparking plug holes has been produced by The British Tap and Die Co. Ltd., under the company's Triangle" brand name.

This thread restorer is double-ended and has threads to fit 14 mm. and 18 mm. plug size holes. The tool is designed to remove carbon deposit and dirt which may be blocking the thread and it is claimed that it will restore bruised and rusty threads. Use of this restorer also eliminates the risk of damaging the thread further with a tap. In addition it may be used before fitting new plugs to ensure a good compression seal. The thread restorer is obtainable through the usual wholesalers and also from motor accessory dealers and tool merchants.
