The other finalist, Stas NV's impressive allaluminium Side-Walker trailer is a nicely engineered, highly versatile bit of kit that is very easily operated with remote or bulkheadmounted controls.
Its moving-slat floor can handle most bulk commodities, from woodchip to chipboard packs, and its lift-up side adds another loading dimension.
Using clever hinges, hydraulic linkages and locking mechanisms, its full-length alloy side lifts and folds onto the roof to take pallets or longer indivisible loads. These are lashed down securely inside and the side is lowered and locked in place by hydraulic clamps.
Although still a prototype this trailer dearly has immense potential.
