Value of February's • exports, according to figur-es issued by the. Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, was £8,513,985. Details appear in the accompanying table.

During February, 26,629 goods vehicles, road haulage tractors and special-type vehicles were produced, together with 163 battery-electrics. Total passenger-vehkle output Was 856. Weekly average 'output was 6,912 of all types, making 27,648 for the month.

Of • the goods vehicles, road haulage tractors and special types, 13,314 were of

under 15-cwt. capacity, 7,636 from 15 cwt3 tons, 3,325 from 3-6 tons, and 2,354 over 6 tons. Of the passenger vehicles, 598 were single-deck and 227 double-deck motorbuses and 31 were trolleybuses.

In the two months ended February 28, 51,678 goods vehicles, road haulage tractors and special types were produced, made up of 26,923 of up to 15-cwt. capacity, 13,278 from 15 cwt-3 tons, 6,549 from 3-6 tons, and 4,928 over 6 tons.

• There were also produced 309 batteryelectrics. Of 1,768 passenger vehicles, 1289 Were single-deck and 425 were double-deck motorbuses, and 54 were trolleybuses. Overall total for the two months was 53,755.

Output of works trucks in January comprised 321 fork trucks and 232 others.
