Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Training for mechanical handling operations can be carried out at a dedicated training centre, or at the client's premises by a visiting instructor. Fees vary depending on how the training is delivered and also from one provider to the next.

Train-A-Lift, a specialist AITT-ITTSARaccredited training company based in Coventry, is typical. The company offers two training options for forklift trucks: • Training for up to three people at the customer's premises costs £210 a day for a five-day course • At Tuition on Train-A-Lift's own training centre the cost is £340 a delegate for the five-day course Train-A-Lift also offers a two-day loader crane training course at customers' premises and using customers' equipment. This costs £600 for up to three delegates.

"Lorry loaders can vary a great deal, depending on the type of vehicle, type of crane and type of attachment used," explains course co-ordinator Brian Blackford. "We therefore prefer to train people on the equipment they will be using."
