Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

It was refreshing to read Deborah Sharpies' views in your edition this month. I totally agree with her and give her all my support.

Our industry needs good luck. I have held a Class 1 driving licence for more than 24 years. I farmed for more than 30 years, and was driven out for the same reasons and unfair bureaucratic nonsense our industry puts up with. At the moment I am working as an agency driver, travelling day and night throughout the UK to provide a first-class service to customers in all industries; but this service, like in the agricultural industry, is not appreciated or respected, but just taken for granted, and suffers unfair competition from Europe.

I have been driven out of one industry—I hope it doesn't happen a second time.

David Joseph, Margam, Port Talbot, West Glamorgan.
