a spooky story?
An Allied truck abandoned in the Western Desert more than 50 years ago has been located by Egyptian troops, 1,300 miles from where the battle of El Alamein took place.
To make the story truly incredible the supply lorry still carried its full load—and mechanics were able to start the engine.
Now, that has to be a Bedford, doesn't it? Any CM reader who served with the Desert Rats and has spent half a century trying to remember where they parked up before going to the kasbah for a night on the town should get in contact with the Ministry of Defence.
