• The use of after-burners and associated equipment might add £300 to the cost of a vehicle, forecast Mr John Peyton, when questioned about their possible use to reduce pollution.
Mr David Price (Tory, Eastleigh) had asked what research work was being sponsored into the use of after-burners and of controlled injection, and was told that extensive research was being carried out by industry.
