THE process of changing over from trams to motorbuses in Gateshead and Newcastle-on-Tyne will be completed soon by the Gateshead and District Omnibus Co„ Ltd., in conjunction with Newcastle City 'Council. The latest routes to be converted are

from Newcastle (Central Station) to Saltwell Park and Bensham, Gateshead. The Low Fell (Gateshead) route will be changed to bus operation on April 1 and the trams on the Dunston route, the last to be converted, will cease running soon afterwards.
