AS the figures below show, registrations of new vehicles, other than cars and motorcycles, dropped by over 20,000 during 1950. The figure for December fell by just over 3,000-8,562, as compared with 11,569 for November.

The total for 1950 was 153,226, which compares with 174,034 for 1949.
